Het TheaterFestival is a prominent and nomadic celebration of exceptional theater, dance, circus, and performance. In 2024, the festival settled in Antwerp, where it spent 11 days showcasing the unique and vibrant theater scene of Flanders and beyond. Centered at DE SINGEL and extending to several partner venues across the city, the festival provided an energetic launch to the new performing arts season. The program included a festive opening, workshops, jury selections, and a showcase of some of the past season’s most intriguing works. This year, our studio had the opportunity to (re)brand the festival for the first time. We embraced bright colors and dynamic patterns to evoke the excitement of a stage, offering a fresh perspective and capturing the layered nature of performances.

As a nomadic festival, Het TheaterFestival rotates annually between Antwerp, Ghent, and Brussels. Its mission is not only to promote the performing arts but also to challenge and inspire the field. The festival serves as a platform for talent, creating opportunities for growth, recognition, and support for the many creators and professionals shaping the performing arts landscape. When relevant, lessons learned are integrated back into the festival’s practices. Sustainability—both environmental and social—is a core priority, while values like quality, diversity, and inclusion are central to its mission. The festival encourages audiences, artists, and cultural professionals to engage in deep reflection and exchange, supported by an extensive reflection program.
